Modified GRF 1-29 is a peptide that works to naturally increase the secretion of growth hormone (GH) in order to increase lean muscle mass and decrease overall body fat. Similar to naturally occurring growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH), modified GRF 1-29 binds to the GHRH receptor in order to increase the rate at which GH is secreted. In turn, when GH is secreted IGF-1 is released from the liver. The effects of modified GRF 1-29 are mediated by the negative feedback loop initiated by the endogenous hormone, somatostatin. This helps to avoid any negative side effects that could be caused by unregulated levels of GH secretion (https://peptide-guide.com/blogs/peptides/modified-grf-1-29).
Effects of Modified GRF 1-29 on Gut Health
It’s commonly known the gut plays a significant role in regard to the normal functioning of the body. That being said, early animal-based studies found that GH could potentially play a role in improving the symptoms of various inflammatory gut diseases. However, treating with just GH led to negative long-term side effects. Further research has been conducted in order to see how various GH-stimulating peptides, such as modified GRF 1-29, can have positive benefits on the gut without negative side effects.
Studies conducted on monkeys found that following administration of the peptide, modified GRF 1-29 interacts with vasoactive intestinal peptide (VIP) receptors which helps to improve the motility of the bowels. Bowel motility plays a large role in inflammatory gut diseases that cause constipation. More specifically, modified GRF 1-29 interacts with VIPC1 receptors that are found in the smooth muscle of the urinary tract, reproductive system, and gastrointestinal tract. When gut health is properly addressed it allows for improved bodily functioning overall (https://www.peptidesciences.com/mod-grf-1-29-5mg-cjc-1295-no-dac).
Modified GRF 1-29 vs CJC 1295 Without DAC
What’s interesting about modified GRF 1-29 is that it has nearly identical effects to another very popular peptide CJC 1295 without DAC. Both of these peptides are known for acting similarly to GHRH and stimulating the release of GH which then prompts IGF-1 secretion. Modified GRF 1-29 and CJC 1295 promote the increase of lean muscle mass, a decrease in body fat, improvement of recovery time, and even pain-relieving qualities.
The primary difference between the two compounds is the half-life. While CJC 1295 without DAC has a half-life of approximately two hours, modified GRF 1-29 only has a half-life of about 30 minutes. However, there are benefits to both longer and shorter half-lives. For instance, a longer half-life means that the peptide is circulating for longer which could induce higher levels of GH secretion. On the other hand, a shorter half-life can be beneficial because it reduces the chance of negative side effects and allows the body to regulate its processes more efficiently without having hormones circulate for long periods of time (https://www.peptidepros.net/cjc-1295-no-dac-mod-grf-1-29/).
Peptides Prefer the Cold
In order to reduce peptide breakdown, keep peptides refrigerated at all times but DO NOT FREEZE.
Swab the top of the vial with a 95% alcohol wipe before accessing.
Only Mix with Sterile Bacteriostatic Water
Bacteriostatic water is vital to preventing contamination and preserving the stability of the compound.
Push the needle through the stopper at an angle in order to direct the stream to the side of the vial.
Reconstituted peptide solution should be stored at around 4 degrees Celsius but not frozen, while lyophilized peptide solution should be kept at -20 degrees Celsius.
