The Nucleus Initiative functions as a community collaboration and incubator for new and exciting molecules. This page is your gateway and will act as a portal for the research, development and synthesis of exciting and cutting-edge new chemicals.

We welcome all to join us on this journey of research discovery to make these chemical compounds available, many for the first time. When the community comes together we have the ability to go from blueprint to commercially viable. This initiative has wide reaching positive implications. Creating chemicals that benefit the global scientific community and commercialized market spaces.

How It Works

1. Propose a molecule or project

Submit your idea through the Nucleus form—this can be a molecule, formulation, or research project. As the project lead, include the essentials: target specifications and purity, requested test methods, any formulation details, research scope, target price, estimated demand/quantity, and the fundraising goal.

2. UMBRELLA evaluates feasibility & compliance

Our scientific and operations teams build a full project budget covering R&D, raw materials, manufacturing, testing, labeling, shipping, and project management. We also assess legal status and regulatory compliance, including any Dangerous Goods classifications.

3. Get a transparent quote & timeline

Once approved, we share the total project cost, lead time, and plan. If you’re good to go, the project is published to the public Pipeline page for community backing. From day one to delivery, we stay in close contact with you and funders.

4. Fund the project (with UMBRELLA co-investment)

Projects have a fundraising window (typically 4 weeks—flexible if you need more time). If the goal isn’t met in time, we organize full refunds for all backers. For each project successfully funded, UMBRELLA commits $1,500 in co-investment to accelerate execution.

5. Build, test, and ship—handled by UMBRELLA

We manage the end-to-end process: procurement, R&D, manufacturing, quality testing, labeling, compliance, and distribution to subscribers and funders. You’ll see weekly progress updates on each project.

6. Earn as the project lead

We believe in rewarding discovery. For every molecule that’s successfully funded, the initiator (project lead) receives 10% of the proceeds—recognizing your leadership and helping fuel your next breakthrough.

7. If plans change, refunds are simple

If a project does not reach funding by the deadline, UMBRELLA organizes full refunds to backers. No fine print.
